The Day & Night Out services
are designed to give parents who don’t require full
time or overnight care a break from the constant demands
of raising a child with developmental disabilities. Parents
of preschool age children may utilize Mother’s Day
Out services two days per week at one of two locations
in San Antonio. Participating parents have the opportunity
to obtain part time employment or attend school. Families
who participate in Family Day Out services, held each
Saturday at two locations, may run errands, do their weekly
shopping or just rest from the demands of caring for a
child with special needs. Parents Night Out, held each
Friday night, offers parents the chance to go on a “date”,
perhaps dinner, dancing or a movie.
All Day & Night Out services welcome non-disabled
siblings.
