Wellness 360 Pediatric Practice
Our Partnership with University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio operates a medical clinic on RCSA’s campus as part of their Wellness 360 pediatric practice. An on-site nurse provides daily treatments such as G-tube feeding, seizure care, and wound management.
On-site nursing care is available for children in our Children’s Homes and Community Programs, with close collaboration between the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio team and RCSA’s case managers.
Wellness 360 Pediatric is a Center of Excellence, one of only ten in the entire state of Texas. The practice aims to create a medical home for children and ensure continuity of care.
What This Means for Children
For the children in the homes, the partnership means that 100% of the children will be brought up to date on wellness visits and immunizations.
For the children in our other programs, the nurse is available to provide shoulder-to-shoulder support for RCSA’s caregivers and teachers, and/or to help address an emergent need with a child in a program.
